The fourth edition of Toddle Demo Day was our most ambitious one yet, as we took a big step toward our North star of giving each teacher 10 additional hours every week.
We introduced AI-powered innovations designed to support teachers with three of the most challenging aspects of teaching – curriculum design, assessment, and grading. With these updates, Toddle became the only platform in the world to offer advanced AI capabilities across every stage of a teacher’s workflow.
We also introduced nine key platform upgrades to significantly enhance your Toddle experience.

Curriculum Design Assistant
Until now, Toddle AI’s curriculum design capabilities focused only on lesson planning. With the new Curriculum Design Assistant, you can now use Toddle AI for unit planning as well as to design courses on Toddle.
From generating detailed unit flows in seconds to automatically structuring your best resources into a cohesive unit or course, this opens up so many new possibilities for curriculum designers.
Worksheets
With the first version of our Worksheets module, we gave teachers a quick and efficient way to create quizzes, practice sheets, and question papers. And it’s proved effective with over 100,000 worksheets created so far.
At Demo Day 4.0, we took this to the next level with two powerful new capabilities that make Toddle Worksheets the coolest assessment builder ever designed:
- Create with Toddle AI: Simply describe your assessment objective – even by speaking it out – and Toddle AI will generate a high quality worksheet within seconds.
- Import from existing documents: Already have a great worksheet in your G-Drive? Upload it, and our vision-based AI will convert it into a fully compatible Toddle worksheet in seconds.
AI-assisted grading
Toddle’s new AI-assisted grading is designed to be your smart grading companion. It takes a remarkably accurate first pass at evaluating student work, effectively cutting your grading time in half.
All you need to do is enable the AI-assisted evaluation when assigning a task. The AI then carefully marks student submissions against your set objectives, providing detailed justifications for each comment. You can then accept the AI’s suggestions as is or fine-tune them to align with your personal style.
What makes the grading assistant special?
- Uses a proprietary algorithm that mirrors real teacher workflows, ensuring over 90% accuracy, even on the most complex tasks.
- Handles both closed-ended tasks (like math problems) and open-ended tasks (like essays) equally well.
- Works seamlessly across all submission formats – docs, slides, images, PDFs, and more.
Course structure
To better meet the needs of middle -school and high-school teaching teams, we introduced the ability to build courses on Toddle. Schools can now choose to structure their Toddle environment around classes or courses.
Toddle supports two types of courses:
- Teacher Courses: For individual teachers to plan and manage their own course flows.
- Blueprint Courses: For central curriculum teams to create and distribute content across multiple classes or campuses.
Nuanced roles and permissions
Until a year ago, Toddle supported only four roles – teachers, administrators, students, and family members – each with predefined permissions. With our latest update, we now offer over 10 roles and more granular permission controls for each of them.
You can enable or disable specific modules or features for each role, control who can use certain functionalities, and set view/edit rights. This new structure is designed to better support the varied roles within a school and ensure you’re able to fully adapt Toddle to your specific needs.
Flexible grading setup
Whether you prefer standards-based or mastery-based approaches, score-based assessments, points, percentages, or proficiency scales, Toddle now gives you a clear, comprehensive view of student achievement.
While the score-based grading set up was already available on Toddle, we’ve now introduced frameworks for standards-based and mastery-based grading that make it easy to set up your own standards, define mastery, and guide student growth. Watch the video above to see these new frameworks in action.
Revamped attendance and timetable
We announced significant updates to our attendance and timetabling modules. We are confident that Toddle now offers one of the most advanced attendance and timetabling solutions.
Here’s what’s new:
- Highly configurable attendance: Mark attendance once a day, by class period, or use a hybrid model.
- Custom rotation cycles: Create weekly schedules or your own rotational patterns.
- Improved flexibility in marking attendance: Bulk attendance marking, excusal requests, attendance thresholds, automated reminders, and consecutive absence alerts.
- Timetable widget: See your daily schedule on your homepage, and mark attendance or manage last-minute substitutions with a single click.
- Seamless integrations: Sync with ASC Timetables, EdVal, Timetabling Solutions, or your SIS, and let attendance data flow automatically into report cards and student profiles.
- Advanced analytics: Visualize attendance at the campus, grade, class, or student level, and export data for further analysis.
Improved AI capabilities in progress reports
Using Toddle AI to write high-quality, personalized progress report comments has quickly become one of our most popular AI features. Over the last 18 months, Toddle AI has assisted with more than 300,000 progress report comments.
We’ve introduced the following enhancements to further improve your experience of writing report comments with Toddle AI:
- Context control: See exactly what data sources Toddle AI is using to craft comments, and select which elements you’d like it to include.
- Source citation: Toddle AI now cites the data sources behind each generated comment, so you know it’s grounded in relevant information.
- Speech-based input: Simply speak out your observations, and Toddle AI turns them into structured, thoughtful comments.
New integrations
We launched deep integrations with 11 new platforms. Here is a quick overview:

Personalised homepages
Currently, when you log into Toddle, you land on a program-specific home page irrespective of your role. That means if you’re an admin or a teacher mapped to multiple programs, you’re constantly switching between different screens.
To make this experience smoother, we’re launching personalized home pages for every user on Toddle. You pick the widgets you want, be it announcements, courses, classes, quick links, or timetables, and you’ll see these right when you log in, with no extra clicks.
Improved analytics
We’ve expanded our data analysis capabilities to give you deeper insights into more areas:
- Platform usage dashboards: See how different people in your school are engaging with key modules on Toddle.
- Enhanced student performance dashboards: Compare term-by-term data with refined visualizations for easier interpretation.
- Behavior management dashboards: Get a bird’s-eye view of school-wide incidents including category-wise breakdowns and analyze trends over time.
New UI for unit planning
We’ve completely redesigned the unit planning interface to reduce clicks, improve readability, and real-time collaboration. In this new design, you’ll find a modern, streamlined interface with a left-hand navigation panel and a single, continuous scroll.
